Sir,
With reference to your letter of the 3rd instant, I am directed to state that you have failed to exculpate yourself to the satisfaction of the Governor from the charges preferred against you in my letter of the 28th ultimo, and that the question of your suspension will be brought before the Executive Council at 2.30 p.m. on Monday the 14th of December, 1908, when you will be allowed to appear before the Council and defend yourself orally.
If any witnesses are examined you will be allowed the opportunity of being present and of putting questions on your own behalf.
